Tonight the Swift Current Broncos will play their annual black and white game with players making a final push to at least advance out of training camp into pre-season action. It is always a fun chance for fans to get a look at some of the new faces and the steps forward that the vets have made.
This time around the game is also a chance to help raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. $2 from every $5 ticket goes towards a very important cause. It’s something near to Taylor Vause’s heart as he lives with diabetes every day. The Broncos forward talked to me about that, the competition for overage roster spots and the feeling around the team after his two-goal game for Team Trottier on Saturday.

Game time is 7pm tonight. I will be attempting a live blog so come back to this site at game time if you can’t make it to the rink or are out-of-town. My computer has been very wonky lately so knock on wood it will make it through the live blog without four or five crashes. Other than that I’m optimistic. Bring your questions and comments and it should be a fun discussion. If it works out I can try to get one going for other exhibition games as well.

Love the early coverage of the Broncos Shawn. When do the podcasts start up for the year??
I’m not sure yet. You want to see them back again this year?
Yay for tonights ticket sales being put towards JDRF! My daughter is also a Type 1 Diabetic so this is great news that the Bronco’s are doing something for JDRF!
