Congrats to Colby Cave and Dillon Heatherington on making the NHL Central Scouting Preliminary Rankings for the 2013 NHL Draft. Heatherington came in at 12 among WHL skaters and Cave is ranked 20.

Both guys have had good starts to their season and are taking on additional responsibilities as the season has progressed. I feel like both have the potential to move up the rankings given the way they’ve played. Either way the main point is that their names are out there and the scouts will certainly be keeping their eyes on Cave and Heatherington. Hopefully they get their names called in June.
