I had a chance to chat with Broncos Coach/GM Mark Lamb this week about Coda Gordon and Graham Black being ranked by NHL Central Scouting. We also discussed what opportunities might exist for other players and Lamb’s thoughts on the NHL playoffs.

So we know Coach Lamb is on the Phoenix bandwagon. Speaking of Lamb interviews… the official website has posted the fourth and fifth parts of the season ending interview I did with him. Here are links to all five parts:

I hope you all enjoyed the interview. Any thoughts on what you’ve heard from it?
Lamb has been extremely busy with scouting. He’s been all over Western Canada getting ready for another very important bantam draft. I’m sure he wishes he was coaching in the playoffs right now instead… but at least he is able to use this time to see all of these guys up close and personal.
Coming up I will have some more information on the alumni golf tournament this summer. I also will have a look back on the season for Swift Current’s prospects.
I do also want to mention that PBR tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday. The tickets have really gone fast so far just among season ticket holders. Now that everyone can grab them it should sell out fast.
Today was a gorgeous spring day and also the first day of the golf season over at Elmwood Golf and Country Club. They have 18 holes open with four of them on temporary greens. It’s supposed to be a nice day on Saturday as well. During the work week it’s going to be back down to nine holes as they make sure the greens are in the best shape possible for the full season.

If you’re interested in playing golf there for the season check out their membership rates here. I know in talking to Sheldon throughout the off-season they were focusing on attracting more young members. You can tell that based on the changes to their rates.
They’re the first sponsor we’ve had on the blog so I hope you support them this season!
