Alumni Golf Classic Saturday, Overtime Audio, Postma Signs

2013 Golf Tournament Logo2334
After months of planning the annual WW Smith Swift Current Broncos Alumni Golf Classic is set for tomorrow at Elmwood Golf and Country Club. As a member of the committee I can attest to how much work some of our members and our co-chairs Jeremy and Kirsten Rondeau have done in making this happen. They’ve been busting their butts for a long time getting this all together and kudos to them.

Over 30 alumni will be here on Saturday and it probably would have been more if not for an unfortunate scheduling issue that had Zack Smith’s Maple Creek tournament on the same day. The good news is both are going to be a lot of fun and raise some money for their causes.

It’s always fun seeing some of the former stars come back to Swift Current. You can click here to see an article I did with Justin Dowling on his return for the tournament and the breakout year he had.

Dowling and Coda Gordon were among our guests on Home Hardware’s Overtime this week…

It’ll be great to see Justin and all the other guys back together tomorrow and raise some money for the Broncos education fund at the same time.

I will hopefully have some audio from the event we can play on Monday during Overtime.

I should also mention the other little piece of Bronco news today that former Bronco Paul Postma signed a new deal with the Winnipeg Jets. You can check out that news by clicking here. Hopefully this is the continuation of a long NHL career for Postma.

See some of you tomorrow!
