I chatted with Broncos Coach/GM Mark Lamb tonight about the great news for Dillon Heatherington that he is one of 29 players invited to Canada’s World Junior selection camp. It’s well deserved. We also discussed the team’s struggles on their five game road trip and what needs to improve as they are back home this weekend against Lethbridge and Brandon.

I’ll have some more thoughts on Dillon tomorrow. I’m really glad he got the invite as he’s the kind of defenceman all teams need to win. Look how he penalty kills night in and night out. You can’t tell me Canada couldn’t use that. I hope he gets the chance to get to the tournament itself because he will make the Canadian squad tougher to play against. Either way it’s a feather in his cap to get invited at all.
