Tyler Steenbergen and Lane Pederson each had three point nights as the Swift Current Broncos beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-1 on Saturday.
“After last night’s (loss in Moose Jaw) we had to clean up a lot of details,” said Broncos associate coach Ryan Smith. “I thought we did that. The guys played well tonight… in general we needed this game, we needed the two points and we did enough to win.”
Steenbergen scored twice, Pederson had one and captain Jon Martin added the other as Swift Current’s top line did all the damage.
“Each game it gets a little better,” Pederson said. “The chemistry is coming as you can see. We’re starting to find each other and we’re starting to figure each other out more and more. When the puck is going in the confidence is up a little bit.”
Travis Child made 35 saves in his return to the net after Taz Burman had made six straight starts for the Broncos.
